The University of Sunderland’s London campus is proud to host the first Sport and Discrimination Conference on 1 May 2015. Organisers, Dr John Price and Dr Daniel Kilvington (both University of Sunderland) would like to welcome speakers and guests to attend this one day event.
The scope of the conference is intentionally broad as we aim to examine and discuss some of the current and pressing issues affecting the contemporary sporting landscape. Dr Daniel Burdsey and Dr Jayne Caudwell (both University of Brighton) will provide keynote papers while the influential campaign group Kick It Out will hold a panel session and Q&A. The conference hopes to be engaging, thought provoking and useful, with delegates from a mix of academic and industry backgrounds.
Attendance at the conference is free but places are limited so registration is essential. Please book a place through the University of Sunderland’s online store.
Andy Fuller is presenting at the conference on May 1. Read his review of Matthew Klugman and Gary Osmond’s Black and Pride here:
